Experience.

Dedicating yourself to certain 'objects' of desire in needs and wants remains controlled or naked to the minds eye. For the most part experience is felt in any case, either shopping or partying for example. In recent years there has been an explosion in the study of marketing especially 'experience marketing' where consumers recieve an added value in their shopping experience. Most costumers feel this extrinsic value, whether its lighting, music, or great costumer service, all these things lead up to an experience of emotions, moods, and compliments. Leading into the future, I feel 'experience marketing' will indeed remain constant in the search of retaining loyalty from their target markets at hand.
